“THE DEATH OF ALHAJI SANI DALHATU IS A GREAT LOSS NOT ONLY TO KADUNA STATE BUT TO THE ENTIRE MUSLIM UMMAH” – SAYS NAHCON BOSS.
NAHCON Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan in company of his Commissioners and Management Staff made this statement when they travelled to Kaduna on a condolence visit to the Kaduna State Government and family of Late Sani Dalhatu who until his death was the General Overseer of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board and was on his way to Abuja to attend a meeting of Forum of Chairmen and Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards where he met his end in a ghastly motor accident.
As part of his condolence message, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, stated that the death of Alhaji Sani Dalhatu was a great loss not only to Kaduna State but to the entire Muslim Ummah.  His death has left a big vacuum that would be difficult to fill. He recalled their recent Pre- Hajj visit to Saudi Arabia with the deceased where he made frantic efforts to compliment the Commission’s desire to make Hajj affordable to Nigerian Muslims.
The Chairman/CEO of NAHCON further describes the deceased as a man of great honour who expressed his readiness to negotiate and ensure affordable Hajj for Kaduna State Pilgrims. Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan prayed that Allah forgives the short-comings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdausi. The NACHON Chairman then presented a letter of condolence to the representative of the Kaduna State Governor.
The representative of the Kaduna State Governor in person of Honourable Bala Yunusa, who is also the Deputy Chief of Staff, apologized for the unavoidable absence of the Governor, His Excellency, Governor Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai due to engagements concerned with the current pandemic, coronavirus. Honourable Bala Yunusa appreciated the collaborative efforts and relationship existing between NAHCON and the State. He described the Late Sani Dalhatu as one of the best civil servants in the State.
Sheikh Jibrin Albani, the Director General of Kaduna State Bureau for Inter-faith, thanked NAHCON Chairman Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hasan and his Delegation for taking time out of their busy schedule to personally condole with the Government of Kaduna State and family of the deceased.
Thereafter, NAHCON Chairman and his entourage visited the residence of Late Sani Dalhatu, Overseer, Kaduna State Pilgrims Board where Sheikh Jibrin Albani introduced the Chairman and members of his delegation to the deceased’s family and condoled with them and appealed for continued supplication for the soul of the deceased.
Commissioner of Operations, Licensing and Inspectorate (NAHCON), Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa led the delegation in prayer where he called on the Almighty Allah to reward the deceased with the best reward for being a good servant of Allah and sort for the best comfort for his Pilgrims.
He also prayed to Allah to grant Late Alhaji Sani Dalhatu’s family the fortitude to bear this huge loss and also prayed for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria.
Late Alhaji Sani Dalhatu rose through the ranks of the State Pilgrims Board and until his death, was the General Overseer of the State Pilgrims Board.
He is survived by two wives, children and other family members.
