

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has received a letter of commendation from the Zamfara State Government in recognition of the Commission’s effective service delivery during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a letter titled “Appreciation for Effective Service Delivery and Prompt Response to Emerging Challenges,” signed by Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, CON, Emir of Anka (Sarkin Zamfaran Anka) and Chairman of the Zamfara State 2026 Amirul Hajj Committee, the Commission was praised for its responsiveness and commitment to the welfare of pilgrims.
The letter specifically acknowledged NAHCON’s prompt attention to concerns raised regarding the welfare of Zamfara pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage. This comes under the leadership of the Commission’s Chairman, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf.
According to the letter:
“Your swift interventions regarding feeding and accommodation arrangements in Madinah and Mina significantly improved the comfort and overall experience of Zamfara State pilgrims.”
The Amirul Hajj Committee further noted that the Chairman’s level of coordination, care, and attention reflected a strong commitment to ensuring that pilgrims performed their religious obligations in a peaceful and conducive atmosphere.
The Committee also expressed appreciation to NAHCON management and staff for their dedication and service to the Muslim Ummah, while offering prayers for Allah’s abundant rewards upon the Commission and all those who contributed to the success of the Hajj operation.
